These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Agent Desk desktop application (the "App") and the website at agentdesk.sh (the "Site"), operated by Waruna de Silva, a sole trader based in Sri Lanka ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Agent Desk is a desktop application that helps developers browse, edit, and manage configuration files (agents, skills, rules, commands, and MCP server definitions) used by third-party AI coding tools on their own computers. The App reads and writes files on your local filesystem.
Agent Desk is currently offered as a free download. A paid feature, peer-to-peer ("P2P") file synchronization, will be available as a one-time purchase when released.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on computers that you own or control for your own use. You may not:
When available, the P2P sync feature will be unlocked via a one-time purchase processed by our payment provider, Paddle. Paddle acts as the merchant of record. Your purchase is subject to Paddle's buyer terms in addition to these Terms.
The P2P sync feature transfers files directly between your own devices using end-to-end encryption. We do not operate a server that stores your synced files, and we do not have access to their contents.
Agent Desk interacts with configuration files used by third-party AI coding tools (including but not limited to Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini, Windsurf, Copilot, Kiro, Amp, Codex, and Aider). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any of these third-party tools. Your use of those tools is governed by their own terms.
The App may allow you to browse and install community-contributed content ("skills") from public sources. We do not review, endorse, or guarantee the safety or accuracy of community content. You install and use such content at your own risk.
You retain all rights to the files and content you create, edit, or manage using the App. We do not claim any ownership of your content, and because the App operates on your local machine, we do not have access to it.
We may release updates, bug fixes, or new versions of the App from time to time. These updates may add, change, or remove features. We are not obligated to provide updates or continue supporting any particular version of the App.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate or suspend your license to use the App if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies in your possession.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD 50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Sri Lanka.
